My mind's been laid so low through no fault but yours,
Has lost so much of itself through duty to you
That I can't like you, not for the best you could be,
Nor cease to love you, not for the worst you could do.

ut iam nec bene velle queat tibi sī optima fīās
nec dēsistere amāre omnia sī faciās
